Clearly, lack of Holistic Knowledge is having tragic consequence around the world. In countries where citizens have access to a high level of education, there are evidences that something is missing in the standards of education.

It is evident that there is more to knowledge than academic achievement. In parts of the world where higher education is reserved to a privileged few, lack of knowledge has an even more tragic consequence. Food supply is inadequate; teachers are in short supply; skilled and/or technical workers are in great demand; youth become easy targets to the criminal syndicates.

Both rich and poor countries are showing that knowledge should address all areas of life. The emphasis of these blogs, though, is on knowledge that is based on the development of the mind. The reality is that when intellect, for whatever reason, is undermined, problems of life are multiplied.

For the poor of the earth, the issue becomes one of enabling more people to have easier access to education. Here, though, many things have to be taken into consideration. First of all, it is imperative that children have sufficient food to sustain the cycle of knowledge.

After ensuring that children have access to nourishing food, conditions that enhance good health must be met. Then it is equally important that even parents without education, see the value of educating their children. Then the business community should realize that prosperity is tied to having skilled and/or knowledgeable workers.

Clearly, then, the practice of educating a few to exercise control over the majority, is not conducive to the prosperity of a nation or the world. We need an approach to knowledge that equips and empowers more people to become prosperous and high achievers.
